Tufts Health Plan Recognized for Highest Member Satisfaction

WATERTOWN, MA--(Marketwired - Mar 26, 2014) - Tufts Health Plan announced today that it received the J.D. Power award for "Highest Member Satisfaction among Commercial Health Plans in the New England Region." J.D. Power is a global marketing information company that represents the voice of the customer.

According to the J.D. Power 2014 U.S. Member Health Plan Study(SM), Tufts Health Plan scored higher than the national average with 681 points on a 1,000-point scale. Nationwide, member satisfaction averaged 669 points. The study is based on 34,315 total member responses from 136 health plans nationwide, including 10 plans in the New England region (which includes CT, MA, ME, NH, RI, and VT). Results are based on experiences and perceptions of members surveyed from December 2013-January 2014.

Now in its eighth year, the J.D. Power study measured member satisfaction by examining six key factors: coverage and benefits; provider choice; information and communication; claims processing; cost; and customer service.
