NEW YORK (AP) _ Virtu Financial Inc. (VIRT) on Friday reported a first-quarter loss of $6.7 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
The New York-based company said it had a loss of 6 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to 34 cents per share.
The high-speed trading company posted revenue of $363 million in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $228.8 million.
Virtu Financial shares have declined nearly 7% since the beginning of the year. The stock has decreased 34% in the last 12 months.
