Warner Music Group taps former Disney executive as CFO

Sept 19 (Reuters) - Warner Music Group, the label behind artistes like Dua Lipa and Ed Sheeran, on Tuesday named former Disney executive Bryan Castellani as its chief financial officer, effective Oct. 16.

Castellani, who will succeed Eric Levin, takes the role after more than two decades at Disney, including a stint as the finance chief of the company's entertainment and ESPN business.

The change comes at a time when Warner Music's revenue growth has been slowing after the pandemic as sticky inflation pressures consumer wallets. The company in March laid off 4% of its workforce. (Reporting by Zaheer Kachwala in Bengaluru; Editing by Shailesh Kuber)
