WasteZero investing $3 million in South Carolina plant expansion, adding 27 jobs

HEMINGWAY, S.C. (AP) -- WasteZero, which makes equipment that helps communities reduce solid waste, is expanding its Hemingway, S.C. plant, creating 27 new jobs.

WasteZero announced the $3 million expansion Friday.

Hemingway is the company's only manufacturing plant and serves more than 800 municipal customers nationwide. The expansion is expected to be completed in the first quarter of next year.

WasteZero makes equipment that helps communities reduce the amount of solid waste going to landfills or incinerators.
