Wellpoint, subsidiaries' ratings removed from under review by A.M. Best
A.M. Best Co. has removed from under review with negative implications and affirmed the financial strength ratings, or FSR, and issuer credit ratings, or ICR, of the core insurance subsidiaries of WellPoint. The outlook assigned to these ratings is stable. Concurrently, A.M. Best has removed from under review with negative implications and affirmed the ICR and debt ratings of "bbb+" of WellPoint and the debt rating of "a-" on the surplus notes of Anthem Insurance Companies.
