The Vancouver, British Columbia-based company said it had a loss of 68 cents per share.

The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 75 cents per share.

The maker of natural-gas engine technology posted revenue of $77.4 million in the period, which also beat Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $76.5 million.
