Seeing as WestAmerica Bancorp. It's worth mentioning that Noam Gottesman's GLG Partners sold off the biggest stake of the 750 funds monitored by Insider Monkey, valued at an estimated $0.4 million in stock, and Brandon Haley's Holocene Advisors was right behind this move, as the fund sold off about $0.3 million worth. These moves are important to note, as aggregate hedge fund interest stayed the same (this is a bearish signal in our experience).

(NASDAQ:NVMI) is the least popular one with only 11 bullish hedge fund positions. WestAmerica Bancorp. (NASDAQ:WABC) is not the least popular stock in this group but hedge fund interest is still below average. Our overall hedge fund sentiment score for WABC is 38.8. Stocks with higher number of hedge fund positions relative to other stocks as well as relative to their historical range receive a higher sentiment score. This is a slightly negative signal and we'd rather spend our time researching stocks that hedge funds are piling on. Unfortunately WABC wasn't nearly as popular as these 20 stocks (hedge fund sentiment was quite bearish); WABC investors were disappointed as the stock returned 1.2% since the end of September (through 12/8) and underperformed the market.
