Technical Engineering Winner: SAC Matthews. A fingerprint captured on an RAF lighter. The print was revealed using a yellow dye based process in the RAF Police labs, Henlow. The lighter was then put under a specific UV light before covering the cameras lens with a matching filter to create the effect of making the print appear bright blue on the lighter. A surreal image of a military aircraft flying past The Shard has taken the top honour at this year's Royal Air Force Photographic Competition. The prestigious honour sees judges whittle down more than 1000 entries from RAF photographers to just 12 category winners.
