Myles Udland breaks down Wednesday’s business headlines, including: the CDC announcing an extension of a new eviction moratorium until early October, Sydney McLaughlin breaking the women’s world record in the 400-meter hurdles, and one of Spain’s top soccer clubs — La Liga — receiving a $3.2 billion investment from CVC in exchange for a 10% stake.

- All right, let's take a quick look here at some of today's other top of business headlines. The Biden administration announced new 60 day eviction moratorium on Tuesday that will now run through October the 3rd. The new rules will apply in areas that have quote, "substantial or high levels of COVID transmission," which is expected to cover more than 80% of counties in the US.

And of course, we must have our daily check-in on the track and field action at the Tokyo Olympics. 21-year-old American Sydney McLaughlin set a world record last night, taking the gold medal in the women's 400-meter hurdles. Dalilah Muhammad, American in second place in that race as well.

And elsewhere in the world of sports, Spain's top soccer association, LaLiga said Wednesday that it had agreed to a deal in principle with private equity firm CVC that would inject some 2.7 billion euros into the coffers of the firm's clubs, which include Real Madrid and Barcelona. The deal values a LaLiga at just over 24 billion euros.
