JOSH LIPTON: And time now for what to watch on Friday. A new read on the labor market is on top ahead on the open. The October jobs report is expected to show job growth of 180,000. This would be a sharp decline from the September jobs report.

The unemployment rate is expected to hold steady at 3.8%. Economists expect average hourly earnings to rise 4% year-over-year. The Fed to keep a close eye on the latest data as the central bank retains the option to further rate hikes if needed.

On the earnings front, we're going to get quarterly results from AMC Networks, Cinemark, and Restaurant Brands International. Investors will be keeping an eye out for a commentary on guidance from Cinemark and the ongoing actor strike. Meanwhile, Restaurant Brands, parent company of Berger King and Popeyes, to provide more color on consumer resilience.
