The SEC says its X account was compromised yesterday, causing confusion over the possible approval of spot bitcoin (BTC-USD) ETFs. Shortly after the market close, the agency's official X account posted that all spot bitcoin ETFs were approved, sending prices higher. Shortly after, Chair Gary Gensler said the account was compromised, something X has confirmed. A decision on the spot bitcoin ETFs could come today. Elsewhere on Wall Street, investors are gearing up for key inflation data and earnings from big names including JPMorgan (JPM), Delta (DAL), and Bank of America (BAC) due out the rest of this week.
