Stocks consolidate end-of-week gains, tech sector rallies
Senior markets reporter Ines Ferre assesses the end-of-week gains seen across stocks and sectors, including Nasdaq leaders and the tech industry.

SEANA SMITH: About a minute to go here until the closing bell. Ines Ferre is in studio with us with a closer look at some of this week's movers. Hey, Ines.
INES FERRE: Hey, Seana. Yes, and the Dow at a two-month high at four weeks straight of gains. The NASDAQ composite up 2.8%, almost a two-week-- its best day in two weeks. Let's take a look at the US dollar index because that had started higher earlier this week. I'm going to pull up a five-day chart. You can see just above 112 earlier this week, right now at above 110.
So this has helped support equities, that rally that we've seen recently. Let's take a look also at the sector action because we are looking at all 11 sectors of the S&P 500 in the green, with technology there gaining the most and over on the NASDAQ, a big day for tech stocks, a big week for tech stocks, Apple up 7 and 1/2%.
