- Time now for what to watch next week. Another huge week for earnings. Coca-Cola, Shopify, Occidental, DraftKings, and Coinbase all reporting among others. Shopify announcing fourth quarter earnings for 2023. This coming after the e-commerce company reveals a new program where it will buy Meta and Google Ads for its sellers.
- And speaking of shopping, new retail sales data from the Census Bureau coming out on Thursday. Economists forecasting sales in the US to fall in January. The monthly report giving us some more insight into the health of the economy, as markets keep a close eye on the Fed's potential rate cuts.
- And moving over to sports, Super Bowl LVIII is coming up on Sunday in a match-up against the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs. Taylor Swift is grabbing a lot of the headlines going into Sunday. But sports betting is poised to have its biggest day ever in terms of Americans placing wagers and how much money is on the line.
