BRAD SMITH: Walmart sets an ambitious hiring goal. Shares of the big box retailer traded fractionally lower, though, on the day after the company announced plans to hire more than 50,000 employees to its US stores, offices, and supply chain facilities in the first quarter of this year. The news comes after Walmart announced yesterday the company is looking to hire more than 5,000 global tech associates in 2022.
