AKIKO FUJITA: Well, time now for what to watch on Tuesday. Be sure to tune in to Yahoo Finance's Invest conference. We've got some big names ready to discuss the most pressing issues in the investment landscape today. Our coverage starts at 8:30 AM Eastern time.

Meanwhile, on the earnings front, Uber, D.R. Horton, and Planet Fitness all reporting their quarterly results before the opening bell. Then after the market closed, expect to hear results from companies, including Rivian, Robinhood, Occidental Petroleum, and CAVA. As for the economy, we're going to get the latest reading on the US trade deficit for the month of September.

Meanwhile, the Fed will release its latest data for consumer credit. Lastly, don't forget to cast your vote for election day this coming ahead of next year's presidential election. Voters will head to the polls to weigh state and local proposals on issues ranging from abortion, taxes, and housing.
