ZACK GUZMAN: We've been highlighting the way the restaurants have had to get creative on the front of dealing with customers in this coronavirus lockdown period. And Chick-fil-A is coming out with their own cook-at-home meal kit. $14.99, you can cook a chicken parm meal using Chick-fil-A's chicken that serves two. And our own Heidi Chung put that kit to the test in this quarantine edition of "Chowin' Down with Chung." Take a look.

HEIDI CHUNG: With most restaurants and bars closed around the world, a lot more people these days have been spending time in their kitchens cooking. And as a result, meal kits are back in vogue. The latest company to jump on that bandwagon is fast food chain Chick-fil-A. Chick-fil-A's new chicken parmesan meal kit promises a delicious meal for two people in under 30 minutes. I wanted to take you on this journey with me. So let's get started.

OK, so while that is pre-heating, I am going to start my timer and start. Take the chicken out of the bag and carefully cut into four equal strips. Top with some sauce, and finish it off with some cheese.

OK, it's time for the chicken to go into the oven. I'm going to set the timer to 16 minutes and let that cook. Here, I have my skillet. I'm going to add the kale, tomatoes, alfredo sauce, and 1/4 cup of water. I'm going to cook this over medium heat and stir to make sure everything is nice and combined. Add the pasta to the sauce and make sure everything is nice and coated. The chicken is done. This looks pretty good.

All right, it's time for our taste test moment of truth. On a scale of one to five, how would you rate this Chick-fil-A meal kit?

- I would say a solid five.

HEIDI CHUNG: Really? You think it's excellent?

- Yeah, it's really good because this is so easy to make, and it tastes just like I'm getting it from the restaurant.

HEIDI CHUNG: Overall here, I'm going to give this a solid four out of five stars. Not a bad way to get on the meal kit trend.

ZACK GUZMAN: I love the apron, Heidi Chung. I mean, that is a very impressive apron. But there you go, impressive four out of five out of five. I like the fact that you kept our rating system intact. But how hard was it? I mean, was it as easy as they wanted to be?

HEIDI CHUNG: So easy. So actually, I preheated the oven and started the timer. If you preheat the oven before you start the timer, this entire process should take you under 20 minutes. So it's super easy.

I was really skeptical going into this, Zack, because a lot of meal kits, other brands that I won't name, say that it's very easy. But you actually end up having to chop and dice and put in all these ingredients that you don't necessarily have on hand.

So this was actually extremely easy. You can even get it delivered to your home if you order through, you know, Grubhub, DoorDash, and what have you. But overall, for $14.99, two servings? It's a pretty good deal, I would say.

ZACK GUZMAN: That is a pretty good deal, especially if the chicken is as good as it's normally. I mean, when we talk about Chick-fil-A chicken, that's what matters here, right?

HEIDI CHUNG: Yeah, exactly. And you're baking it again, so it comes up nice and crispy. I do have a photo of a comparison between the marketing promo pic and what I created. And obviously, it was expected that it wasn't going to look exactly the same. But I was actually quite impressed by the fact that it didn't look too bad. And it actually tasted quite good as well. So overall, I would say a four out of five, Zack.

ZACK GUZMAN: Yeah, a four out of five, not bad. The effort there, five out of five, in my opinion, watching this all play out. Our own Heidi Chung brinding us the latest on the "Chowin' Down with Chung" front, appreciate that.
