| EQT Corporation, together with its subsidiaries, operates as an integrated energy company in the United States. The company operates through three segments: EQT Production, EQT Midstream, and Equitable Distribution. The EQT Production segmentÂ’s properties are located primarily in Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia. This segment has approximately 3.4 million gross acres, which include acreage of proved developed and undeveloped natural gas and oil production properties. The EQT Midstream segment offers gathering, processing, transmission, and storage services to EQT Production and independent third parties. This segment includes approximately 10,450 miles of gathering lines located in western Pennsylvania, West Virginia, eastern Kentucky, and southwestern Virginia. It also has a gas processing facility, Kentucky Hydrocarbon, located in Langley, Kentucky. The Equitable Distribution segment distributes and sells natural gas to residential, commercial, and industrial customers in southwestern Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and eastern Kentucky. This segment provides natural gas distribution services to approximately 275,800 customers comprising of 257,200 residential customers, and 18,600 commercial and industrial customers in southwestern Pennsylvania, municipalities in northern West Virginia. The company was formerly known as Equitable Resources, Inc. and changed its name to EQT Corporation in February 2009. EQT Corporation was founded in 1925 and is headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. |
