In a unanimous 8-0 decision today, the US Supreme Court ruled on an issue that has been crucial to the success of patent trolls, who are known for filing infringement lawsuits over low-quality patents in pursuit of out-of-court settlements. More than a third of all patent-infringement lawsuits filed between 2014 and 2016 were filed in just one of the 94 federal courts: the Eastern District of Texas, which some say is friendly to trolls. Not only has the East Texas court received a disproportionate amount of all patent lawsuits, but more than three-quarters of the cases that end up there are suits that were filed by highly litigious plaintiffs (read: likely patent trolls).

The Airbus A380 has officially found a new lease on life as an ultraluxurious private jet. On Monday, Sparfell & Partners announced at the European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition that it would sell secondhand Airbus superjumbos as head-of-state aircraft. The Geneva-based firm also announced that it would work with London's Winch Design to create the A380 private jet's opulent interior.
