What's the latest on Marshalls opening at the former Shopko building in Wisconsin Rapids?
WISCONSIN RAPIDS – We’re getting closer to an opening date for Marshalls in Wisconsin Rapids.
A company spokesperson confirmed to the Daily Tribune Thursday afternoon Marshalls anticipates opening in April. A more specific opening date will be announced in the next few weeks.
Last month, Marshalls told the Daily Tribune it expected to open this spring in the former Shopko building on East Riverview Expressway.
The department store owned by TJX Companies – including brands like TJ Maxx, Home Goods, Sierra and Homesense – offers a variety of clothing, shoes and accessories for men, women, children and babies, along with a selection of beauty products, handbags, luggage, toys, books, home decor, furniture, lighting, bed and bath items, kitchen items, outdoor products, pet items, gifts and more.
Marshalls will be the third retail store to open in the former Shopko building in Wisconsin Rapids. Harbor Freight opened at the eastern end of the building last July, and Five Below opened next to it in November. Marshalls will open in April on the western end of the store space.
The developer of the project announced earlier this month PetSmart plans to open this fall between Five Below and Marshalls, offering grooming and veterinary services along with supplies, medicines, treats and food for dogs, cats, birds, fish, reptiles and other small pets.
