Normally, the fund invests at least 65% of its net assets in dividend-paying equity securities. In addition, the fund invests at least 80% of its net assets in securities of small-cap companies, under normal circumstances. Although the fund normally focuses on securities of U.S. companies, it may invest up to 25% of its net assets (measured at the time of investment) in securities of companies headquartered in foreign countries.

Management Information

Prior to joining the firm in 2021, he was a Senior Investment Analyst (2021) at American Century Investments, as well as an Investment Analyst (2015-2021) and an Investment Analyst Summer Associate (2014). A classical violinist, he was previously a Violin Fellow at New World Symphony (2007-2010) and has performed in orchestras, chamber ensembles, and festivals across the U.S., Europe, and Japan. He also participated as an orchestra member on multiple recordings, including one that won multiple Grammy awards. Mr. Hintz has an MBA from Johnson at Cornell University, a Master of Music from the University of Michigan, and a Bachelor of Music from Oberlin Conservatory of Music. He holds the CFA® designation.
