With all the car-making troubles that are hounding Tesla Inc. these days -- from the Model 3 bottlenecks to the furious cash burn -- it’s easy to overlook the company’s SolarCity headache. “SolarCity debt may not be the immediate cause of Tesla’s problems, but it certainly isn’t helping right now,” said Alexander Diaz-Matos, an analyst at credit research firm Covenant Review LLC. Tesla representatives declined to comment for this story.

The US saw less multinational repatriation than some expected in the first three months of 2018. Bank of America Merrill Lynch analysts expect a portion of the $3.5 trillion in corporate cash abroad to flow back into the US over the coming quarters. The lag in repatriation in the first quarter could have been because companies were busy preparing.

Shares of Micron Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ:MU) got hammered yesterday after UBS slapped a sell rating on Micron stock owing to pricing concerns. Some of the carnage is warranted as Micron stock had been a big out-performer recently. In my previous post on Micron stock from March 12, I had a decidedly bearish viewpoint on MU shares when they were trading at the $60 area.
