Fund Summary

The investment seeks long-term capital appreciation. Under normal circumstances, the fund invests at least 80% of its net assets, plus any borrowings for investment purposes, in equity securities of emerging market companies. The fund managers consider a company to be an emerging market company if (i) at least 50% of the company's assets are located in emerging markets; (ii) at least 50% of the company's revenues are generated in emerging markets; or (iii) the company is domiciled in an emerging market.

Mr. Thomas Pinto Basto, CFA, Vice President, joined Westwood Management in May 2012 and moved to Westwood International in August 2012 after having served on the global and emerging markets investment teams for over six years for AGF Investments Inc. Prior to 2005, he served as a corporate strategy consultant with Deloitte Consulting in Canada and Hong Kong and as a Global Analyst for both fixed income and equities with Altamira management. Mr. Pinto Basto earned a BA in Economics from Carleton University. He is a member of the CFA Institute and the Toronto Society of Financial Analysts.
