JULIE HYMAN: Investors can look forward to more Fed speak. Cleveland Fed President Loretta Mester expected to deliver remarks on the economy. This coming as Fed Chair Jay Powell warns that inflation is still too high, that more interest rate increases are still possible. Friday's going to be the last day before the beginning of the Fed's blackout period. We've been hearing from a lot of them ahead of that.

On the earnings front, American Express, Comerica, Huntington Bank among the list of names reporting their latest results. The three companies reporting before the opening bell, providing more color on the state of consumer spending.
