JOLTS data, FTX trial, Evergrande, Hunter Biden: What to watch

Yahoo Finance anchor Josh Lipton previews what investors should be paying attention to tomorrow, Tuesday, October 3, including: fresh JOLTS data, the fraud trial of Former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried, the resumption of Chinese property developer Evergrande's (3333.HK, EGRNF) shares trading on the Hong Kong exchange, Hunter Biden's arraignment, and corporate earnings expected out.

- Here's what to watch on Tuesday. In the morning, we'll be getting the latest JOLTS report. The street is predicting we'll see a slight increase to 8.9 million openings. It comes ahead, of course, the government jobs report on Friday.

Criminal trial of former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried will begin with jury selection getting underway. He's facing, he's facing seven counts of fraud and conspiracy in connection to the collapse of FTX. He has pled not guilty to all of the charges.

Evergrande is looking to have its shares resumed trading tomorrow in Hong Kong. Shares of the property developer were suspended, as the news broke that its founder was being investigated over suspected illegal crimes. Evergrande says all documents have now been disclosed.

And closer to home, President Joe Biden's son Hunter is set to be arraigned on three criminal charges stemming from a gun he purchased in 2018. He's expected to appear virtually, and to enter a plea of not guilty.

After the bell, both McCormick and Cal-Maine Foods will report earnings. And finally, October 3 is officially Mean Girls day, in reference to the Lindsay Lohan movie. There's only one thing to do, wear pink.
