NYCB gets big investment, Novo Nordisk jumps on weight loss trial: Yahoo Finance Live
New York Community Bancorp (NYCB) shares are recovering slightly today after Wednesday's seesaw action. Shares were under immense pressure yesterday but ended the day in the green after receiving a $1 billion investment, much of which came from former Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin's Liberty Capital. In the pharma sector, Novo Nordisk (NVO) shares are jumping after receiving positive trial results on a new weight loss drug. Novo Nordisk is already the maker of the weight loss drug Wegovy. On Capitol Hill, investors will be closely watching Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell's second day of testimony, this time before the Senate Banking Committee at 10 a.m. ET.
