I don't know about the others out there long or short but I'm kinda felling a shift. As this equity creeps up it should make the shorts nervous unless theirs some complacency on the short side of this. If so and we get a move of a $1.50 or $2 up the shorts my be shaken otta that complacency and start to cover those impressive gains. It would be a blowup to the upside. First to admit I'm not a professional but we shall see.
Very difficult to see ASNA not making a big run north. Do you guys find it difficult to know when to buy or sell something? I prefer to get my stocks from AWE-some.Stock-s.

what news could asna possibl have. only thing that would send price up is sales numbers up REVENUES that is it.
If they can generate any positive Momentum and News the shorts who have been sitting short for a long while are gonna kick themselves for not covering in here. Pigs get slaughtered not just on the long side

50,000,000 shorts.....just release something good ASNA.
It looks like Amazon's goal is to bankrupt every other retailer. Is that what consumers really want - one source for everything? Anyway, I guess ASNA has to match their online shopping experience.
Would there be any value in Amazon buying Ascena for their distribution and apparel supply chain knowledge? It would seem awfully cheap right now..
UP IT GOES. Don't have a lot of shares (200) but it's profitable. Buy low.
Beyond buybacks, though not sure they have the money for that, not sure there's any other levers they can pull to instantly help this stock. They've made substantial cuts, announced closures, etc. and we're still below $2. Guess it's just a waiting game to see if the top line can improve and how the cuts improve the bottom line once annualized.
Here's what's happening in Columbus. The offices of Catherines, along with 125 jobs, will be moved here o join Lane Bryant. Catherines Pennsylvania office will be closed by year end. There will be 200 jobs eliminated company wide, including 13 at Lane Bryant and 12 at Justice here in Columbus.
There's so many fat women in the states. I can't believe Lane Bryant and Catherines aren't doing better than they are.
I think the bashers here are all one person and a castoff of ASNA that is bitter. Its pretty sad. To be let go and then present himself as having all the answers is sad. I wish they would hire him back so he would shut up.
Something's wrong with this picture. $7 billion in revenues and can't make a profit. The company needs to right size the number of employees and the number of stores. Then look at the business model. If they can't make it then, the Board has to replace Jaffe. To me, the Board is very close to law suits for not perform their fiduciary duty.
