  • It looks like Amazon's goal is to bankrupt every other retailer. Is that what consumers really want - one source for everything? Anyway, I guess ASNA has to match their online shopping experience.
  • Here's what's happening in Columbus. The offices of Catherines, along with 125 jobs, will be moved here o join Lane Bryant. Catherines Pennsylvania office will be closed by year end. There will be 200 jobs eliminated company wide, including 13 at Lane Bryant and 12 at Justice here in Columbus.
  • Would there be any value in Amazon buying Ascena for their distribution and apparel supply chain knowledge? It would seem awfully cheap right now..
  • There's so many fat women in the states. I can't believe Lane Bryant and Catherines aren't doing better than they are.
  • Beyond buybacks, though not sure they have the money for that, not sure there's any other levers they can pull to instantly help this stock. They've made substantial cuts, announced closures, etc. and we're still below $2. Guess it's just a waiting game to see if the top line can improve and how the cuts improve the bottom line once annualized.
  • I think the bashers here are all one person and a castoff of ASNA that is bitter. Its pretty sad. To be let go and then present himself as having all the answers is sad. I wish they would hire him back so he would shut up.
  • Conference call encouraged analysts- estimates for Q4 are up. The bottom is in and shorts will run.
  • Something's wrong with this picture. $7 billion in revenues and can't make a profit. The company needs to right size the number of employees and the number of stores. Then look at the business model. If they can't make it then, the Board has to replace Jaffe. To me, the Board is very close to law suits for not perform their fiduciary duty.
  • I'm hearing rumors that tomorrow 6/15, there will be some major announcement of layoffs throughout the brands corporate offices. Can anyone confirm this ?
  • What did they buy in 2016 that made their tangible net go negative big time. Don't own any shares but looking at it. With what is happening to brick & motar retail very scary.
  • Is there any positive that could come out of this afternoon's doom and gloom earnings release? Half of ASNA's assets are in Intangibles and Goodwill (over $2.5 billion). I expect there will be massive write downs. There will probably also be liabilities booked for severance pay, benefits, store closings, etc. It's just best to throw in the kitchen sink at this point and get it over with.
  • ASNA is up 9.19% to 2.02
  • NO CLOSURES.. big savings, debt has been shrinking nicely.
  • MonsterMicroCap Alert to ASNA shareholders. Sales are just beginning to rocket and shares will soon follow. $.45 BioLargo (BLGO) on track to be enormous winner in 2017. Company is executing flawlessly and rapidly gaining industrial odor control sales with giant users. Sales just starting and expect parabolic growth curve leading to billion dollar sales. Over 1 million industrial facilities have big unmet need for BioLargo’s CupriDyne that is THE ONLY ODOR CONTROL PRODUCT THAT ACTUALLY WORKS. Average sales $3,000 to $10,000 per month per facility.

BLGO also filing 510k in July for new low cost, high impact, disruptive wound care products in a 20 billion dollar market. Expect sales to commence in 6 months leading to multi-billion dollar sales.

With highly disruptive, low cost water and air treatment solutions, and low cost advanced wound care products, BioLargo strongly positioned for monster growth.

  • OVER 6 billion sales per year even with recent dips. Buyout offers coming imho.
  • ASNA is up 21.98% to 2.22
  • Any idea when earnings will come out? We know it was delayed, but any idea which day?
  • Jaffe caved in and in a good way that wall street likes. Store closures, pressure for rent savings and flat out stop blaming and take action. Old ways wont work and it finally registered. The restructure time and effort paying off.
  • This is good news??? Losses and store closings. Maybe DJ can swing a deal with Lampert and move all hia stores into the empty Sears space. They could sit around and blame everybody else for their failures
  • Most undervalued stock on the market. Gonna be even more undervalued after earnings and people sell off even more. Get ready for a huge reversal within a couple of weeks
