Management Information

Robert Burgess is a fixed income portfolio manager at Capital Group. As a fixed income investment analyst and research director, he has research responsibility for emerging market debt. He has 31 years of investment industry experience and has been with Capital Group for seven years. Prior to joining Capital, Robert worked as chief economist for emerging markets in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa at Deutsche Bank. Before that, he was an economist at the International Monetary Fund and HM Treasury. He holds a master’s degree in economics from the University of London and a bachelor’s degree in politics and economics from Oxford University. Robert is based in London.
