Apple avoids watch ban, Google warns of layoffs, Yahoo Finance live from Davos
Apple (AAPL) will remove the blood oxygen feature on some of its watches to avoid a US government ban on selling the devices. The issue stems from a patent dispute with Masimo (MASI) over the technology. Google (GOOG, GOOGL) is warning of more job cuts this year. In a memo to employees, CEO Sundar Pichai warned that cuts may be necessary for the company to reach 'ambitious goals' this year.
